PHOROPTER MAINTENANCE

Instrument is first disassembled, inspected for worn or damaged parts and customer is notified if any malfunctions requiring new replacements are necessary.

All mechanical parts are de-greased, cleaned, properly lubricated for optimum performance.

Geneva assemblies are cleaned and lubricated, cylinder dials are cleaned and properly aligned.

All lenses are double cleaned, leaving streak free, clean and clear lenses thus leading to proper equipment operation and patient diagnosis.

Rotation and swivel assemblies are cleaned and properly aligned.

Moving assemblies are tightened to correct tensions, ensuring proper movement of  all assemblies.

Final reassembly of unit with physical check of instrument to ensure proper alignment, tensions and movements.

CHAIR / STAND COMPLETE OVERHAUL

Chairs and stands are disassembled, allowing removal of upholstery and all components.

Hydraulic components of chairs are checked for leaks, hydraulic fluid is added when needed, system is bled for optimum and quiet performance.

Upholstery (head rest, back, seat, leg rest cushions, stand face plate covers) is completely redone with new material via customers request. (Usually updated to newer color standards.)

Chair and stand parts are sanded, prepped and painted with a minimum of two coats of premium paint to ensure longevity and durability in workplace environments. (Usually updated to newer color standards.)

Chairs and stands are assembled, new nylon washers for Phoropter and Keratometer arms on stands are installed, alignments of mechanisms are checked and set to within manufacturer's specifications.

Chairs and stands are cleaned, lubricated, adjusted to within proper manufacturer specifications allowing correct and optimum performance in workplace.

OPHTHALMIC ROOM SERVICE

- Service entire lane of equipment; Attention paid to the most miniscule details.-

  • Chair is inspected for proper working condition throughout; to include electronics and hydraulic system. Hydraulic fluid level is checked and added to if applicable. Moving parts are cleaned and re-greased at pivot points to allow for smooth function of reclining/raising. Torques on bolts and nuts are checked and tightened to proper specifications to ensure proper movements and longevity. Service cleaning is then provided to remove any dust, grime or debris ensuring the best looking equipment for your office and patients.
  • Stand is inspected for proper working condition throughout; to include mechanical cables for hand release levers, roller bearing and post assemblies to allow smooth function throughout entire range of arm movement, as well as arm pivot points to ensure ease of adjusting equipment for patient examination. All arms and pivot points are cleaned and re-greased to ensure optimum ease of movement. Bearings and slide rails are cleaned of any build up. Service cleaning is then provided to remove and dust, grime or debris.
  • Slit Lamp is inspected for proper working condition throughout; to include proper alignment of optics, proper slit proportioning/filter lens movement, axle bearings are lubed for proper movement of slit lamp. Slit lamp optical heads are removed, contact points are cleaned and adjusted to ensure proper function. The bulb is then removed and cleaned of any dust/debris along with parabolic mirror. Focal lenses and refractive mirrors are then properly cleaned to allow the brightest of light to be emitted. Slit lamp table is adjusted to level and tightened. Service cleaning is then provided to remove any dust, grime or debris.
  • Keratometer is inspected for proper working condition throughout; to include proper calibration. Service cleaning is then provided to remove any dust, grime or debris. 
  • Projector/Visual Acuity System is inspected for proper working condition throughout; to include external cleaning, checks for proper operation, calibration for letter sizing.
  • Phoropter is checked for proper operation, PD assemblies are tested for correct movement along with checks of detents, Tonometer is checked for calibration if applicable. Phoropter is then externally cleaned.
